Nat's Chronicles

The Mis-adventures of Nat in North Carolina

                                        Welcome

I have been fishing and hunting in North Carolina for about  35 years. I mostly  fish for crappie, but I also fish for bream, white perch and do a little saltwater fishing. When it comes to hunting,  squirrels are #1. I also hunt ducks, crows, coyotes and deer. In a normal week I'll be outdoors two to five days fishing or hunting. Twice in the Spring and once in the Fall I'll go on fishing vacations for seven to twelve days. Two or three times in the Fall and Winter I'll take hunting vacations. I'm too laid back and like to have way too much fun to be a tournament fisherman (not that I'm that good anyway). Most of my fishing is at High Rock Lake, I regularly fish Tuckertown,Blewett Falls, Falls Lake, Lake Jordan and Holden Beach. Most of my hunting is done in the southeastern portion of Anson County near the Pee Dee River. I also hunt in Rowan, Davidson and Davie Counties along the Yadkin River.

Tuckertown: Social has now come and gone. Small crowd but good times. Not sure how everyone did in the catching dept. I only caught 17 and Dylan caught 3. Started out trolling crankbaits then casting jigs to brush and back to trolling crankbaits. The 2 biggest crappie were caught trolling crankbaits.
